Do you ever tease your friend because he is whipped or make fun of him because his girlfriend always seems to wear the pants?  If you ever felt the need learn these Chinese words and many others, you came to the right place. The Chinese slang blog will teach you all the ways that you can call your friend a girly man or whipped.  And if you say it in Chinese, then you have the added bonus of making him feel even more embarrassed.  If you buddy is ever seen around town carrying his girlfriend’s Hello Kitty purse again, you will never run out of ways to tease him or question his manlyhood. 

娘娘腔-niáng niáng qiāng-Sissy, pansy, a feminine man with a girly voice (Noun)

Literal Translation-Mother mother voice

如果你听他说话就会知道他是一个娘娘腔。

rúguǒ nǐ tīng tā shuōhuà jiù huì zhīdào tā shì yígè niángniángqiāng

You will know he is a sissy if you listen to him speak.


胆小鬼-dǎn xiǎo guǐ-Coward (Noun)

Literal Translation-Courage small ghost

你真是个胆小鬼,不敢打电话给那个女孩。

nǐ zhēn shì gè dǎnxiǎoguǐbùgǎn dǎdiànhuà gěi nàgè nǚhái

You are a coward for not calling the girl.


妻管严-qī guǎn yán-Hen-pecked husband, whipped (Noun)

Literal Translation-Wife control strict

他是个十足的妻管严,所有人都知道他们家里是谁当家。

tā shì gè shízú de qīguǎnyánsuǒyǒu rén dōu zhīdào tāmen jiālǐ shì shuí dāngjiā

He is completely whipped! We all know who wears the pants in that house.


吃软饭-chī ruǎn fàn-A man who depends on his girlfriend for money (Verb)

Literal Translation-Eat soft rice

听说他是个吃软饭的,他的有钱女朋友又老又丑。

tīngshuō tā shì gè chīruǎnfàn detāde yǒuqián nǚpéngyǒu yòu lǎo yòu chǒu

Everyone says he depends on his rich girlfriend who is old and ugly.


小白脸-xiǎo bái liǎn-Cute boy that depends on an older woman’s money (Noun)

Literal Translation-Little white face

他那小白脸的样子让他成功的找到了一个为他支付房租的女人。

tā nà xiǎobáiliǎn de yàngzi ràng tā chénggōng de zhǎodào le yígè wèi tā zhīfù fángzū de nǚrén

Being such a cute boy helped him find a woman to pay for his apartment.


奶油小生-nǎi yóu xiǎo shēng-A feminine man, girly man (Noun)

Literal Translation-Cream little man

真是个奶油小生!你看见他穿的衣服了吗?

zhēn shì gè nǎiyóuxiǎoshēngnǐ kànjiàn tā chuān de yīfú le ma

What a girly man! Have you seen the clothes he is wearing?


软脚蟹-ruǎn jiǎo xiè-Wuss, wussy (Noun)

Literal Translation-Soft feet crab

被女朋友那样责骂,一定是个软脚蟹。

bèi nǚpéngyǒu nàyàng zémàyídìng shì gè ruǎnjiǎoxiè

Only a wussy gets scolded by his girlfriend like that.


吃素的-chī sù de-Wuss, pushover, sucker (Noun)

Literal Translation-Eat vegetables

我可不是吃素的,你再狡辩也没有用。

wǒ kě búshì chīsùdenǐ zài jiǎobiàn yě méiyǒuyòng

I am not a pushover. Your argument will not work.


无能-wú néng-Incompetent (Adj)

Literal Translation-No can

我绝不会给他一份工作,因为他是一个无能的人。

wǒ juébúhuì gěi tā yífèn gōngzuòyīnwèi tā shì yígè wúnéng de rén

I would never give him a job because he is an incompetent person.


戴绿帽子-dài lǜ mào zi-A cuckcold, a man who is being cheated on (Verb)

Literal Translation-Wear green hat

他曾经被前两任女朋友戴过绿帽子。

tā céngjīng bèi qián liǎng rèn nǚpéngyǒu dài guò lǜmàozǐ

He is a cuckold for getting cheated on by his last two girlfriends.


面瓜-miàn guā-Timid, coward. (Noun)

Literal Translation-Noodle melon

他是个十足的面瓜,和谁也不想说话。

tā shì gè shízú de miànguāhé shuí yě bùxiǎng shuōhuà

He is a very timid boy. He doesn’t want to talk to anyone.


书呆子-shū dāi zi-Nerd, bookworm, lacking social skills. (Noun)

Literal Translation-Book nerd

你戴那副眼镜看起来像个书呆子。

nǐ dài nà fù yǎnjìng kànqǐlái xiàng gè shūdāizi

You look like a nerd when you wear those glasses.


青蛙-qīng wā-Ugly guy (Noun)

Literal Translation-Frog

他是个青蛙,不过他有钱。

tā shì gè qīngwābúguò tā yǒuqián

He is ugly, but at least he has money.


半残废-bàn cán fèi-Very short man (Noun)

Literal Translation-Half disabled

怪不得他如此愤怒,他是个半残废!

guàibùdé tā rúcǐ fènnùtā shì gè bàncánfèi

No wonder he’s such an angry man, he’s so short!


装嫩-zhuāng nèn-Older person pretending to be younger (Verb)

Literal Translation-Pretend young

她今年已经28了,还经常装嫩,穿的像个学生。

tā jīnnián yǐjīng 28 lehái jīngcháng zhuāngnènchuān de xiàng gè xuéshēng

She is 28 years old but often pretends to be younger by dressing like a school girl.


阳痿-yáng wěi-Impotent, can’t get it up (Noun)

Literal Translation-Sun wither

那个男人患了阳痿,不能勃起。

nàgè nánrén huàn le yángwěibùnéng bóqǐ

That man is pathetic; he can’t even get it up.


窝囊废-wō náng fèi-Loser (Noun)

Literal Translation-Nest bag waste

谁都知道他是班上最大的窝囊废。

shuí dōu zhīdào tā shì bānshàng zuì dà de wōnángfèi

Everybody knows that he is the biggest loser in our class.


没用-méi yòng-Completely useless (Noun)

Literal Translation-No use

你真是个没用的人,靠自己什么也不会做。

nǐ zhēn shì gè méiyòng de rénkào zìjǐ shénme yě búhuì zuò

You are a completely useless person, you can’t do anything by yourself.


酒囊饭袋-jiǔ náng fàn dài-A useless person who does nothing but eat and drink (Noun)

Literal Translation-Wine bag rice bag

看看你自己, 除了吃喝,什么也不会,真是个酒囊饭袋!

kàn kàn nǐ zìjǐchúle chīhēshénme yě búhuìzhēn shì gè jiǔnángfàndài

Look at you, you are good for nothing except eating and drinking.


脑被驴踢了-nǎo bèi lǘ tī le-Stupid or crazy. Kicked in the brain by a donkey (Adj)

他的举动让人觉得他脑被驴踢了。

tā de jǔdòng ràng rén juédé tā nǎo bèi lǘ tī le

He acts like he was kicked in the brain by a donkey.


缩头乌龟-suō tóu wū guī-Coward that hides from trouble (Noun)

Literal Translation-Hide head tortoise

当他的老婆回到家里他就会像缩头乌龟一样躲起来

dāng tā de lǎopó huí dào jiālǐ tā jiù huì xiàng suōtóuwūguī yíyàng duǒqǐlái

He will act like a coward hiding from his wife when she gets home.
