In Amercia, the U-turn can be a highly illegal maneuver. In China, the taxi driver will just keep making a U-turn until you get to your final location or he has ran up the meter another 10kuai.

As a former U.S. cabbie, who prefers taxis here in Guangzhou, I enjoyed this one. Now I know how to request a U-turn, or as we say in the States "flip a bitch".
